Polygon announced that the MATIC token will be undergoing a token migration and will be upgraded to POL on or around September 4, 2024 ("Token Migration"). For further details, please refer to the official announcement by Polygon.
Okcoin will not support POL or MATIC on the Polygon PoS network following the Token Migration, but will continue to support MATIC tokens on the Ethereum network.
In light of the Token Migration, please note that:
-
Deposits and withdrawals of MATIC on the Polygon PoS network ("MATIC-Polygon") will be suspended starting at 12:00 p.m. PDT / 3:00 p.m. EDT on September 3, 2024 (the "Effective Time"). Deposits and withdrawals of MATIC tokens on the Ethereum network ("MATIC-ERC20") will not be affected.
-
Okcoin will arrange to convert all MATIC-Polygon tokens to MATIC-ERC20 tokens between the Effective Time and 2:00 p.m. PDT / 5:00 p.m. EDT on September 3, 2024.
-
Any MATIC-Polygon tokens deposited on the Okcoin platform after the Effective Time will not be supported and may not be recoverable.
-
Following the Effective Time, deposits and withdrawals of MATIC-Polygon will no longer be supported on the Okcoin platform. Okcoin will continue to support deposits and withdrawals of MATIC-ERC20 tokens.
Please rest assured that your MATIC tokens are safe and no specific action is required on your end. If you would like to withdraw MATIC-Polygon tokens, please do so before 12:00 p.m. PDT / 3:00 p.m. EDT on September 3, 2024.
